Over the past week I have been experimenting with Oxado adverts instead of Google Adsense. Today, I terminated my experiment. My click through rate as plummeted, my revenue is right down, in short, no one is clicking my Oxado ads. I don't know why...google ads that looked very similar, offered similar products, and took up exactly the same space on the page. It is a mystery to me.

The few clicks I did get were certainly no more financially beneficial than google clicks. The "one click one Euro" mantra I had heard turned out to be just a rumour.

So, the whole think got too costly as I had my best adsense page devoted to the experiment. I am now switching the ads back. I hope that not showing google ads for a while hasn't harmed the quality of ads that will be shown on the page.

I won't be trying my best page with an adsense alternative for a long while now!
